On November 26, 2024, in Zurich, the Swiss International Society (SIS) and the Wharton Club of Switzerland (WACS) were delighted to welcome Paul Bulcke, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nestlé SA.

During this by-invitation event, Philippe Monnier interviewed Paul Bulcke on a range of topics, followed by an engaging Q&A session with the audience and a seated lunch.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul and the 58 distinguished participants from across Switzerland. Among them were the Chairpersons/CEOs of numerous outstanding companies, founders of promising start-ups, Olympians, etc.

On October 19, 2023, the Wharton Alumni Club of Switzerland (WACS) was delighted to welcome in Geneva Christoph Aeschlimann, CEO of Swisscom.

Swisscom (19,000 employees, annual sales > CHF 11 billion) is Switzerland’s leading telecoms company and one of its leading IT companies. It is 51% owned by the Swiss Confederation.

Christoph spoke about the “Deeptech Nation Switzerland” initiative developed within the Swisscom’s Group. This initiative aims to create 100,000 deep-tech jobs by 2030.

 

On October 3, 2023, the Wharton Alumni Club of Switzerland (WACS) was delighted to welcome in Zurich Dr. Pietro Supino, Publisher and Chairman of TX Group.Pietro is also Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the three TX Group companies i.e. Goldbach, 20 Minuten and Tamedia. Pietro spoke about "Considerations in a changing media landscape".

On March 15, 2022, the Wharton Alumni Club of Switzerland (WACS) was pleased to welcome today Stefan Butz, CEO of DKSH.

DKSH (33,000 employees; net sales: > $11 billion) is a Zurich-based SIX-listed global firm specialized in market expansion services.

Stefan studied business administration at the University of Bayreuth as well as executive courses at the Wharton School, etc.

 

 

 

The Wharton Alumni Club of Switzerland (WACS) was pleased to welcome André Hoffmann, Vice Chairman of Roche (& representative of the founding family), Founder & Chair of the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society (INSEAD) and Member of the Governing Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

This event took place on February 24, 2022 and gathered 65 participants; the event was organized together with the American International Club of Geneva, the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce and the Joint Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

On November 25, 2021 we had the honor of welcoming Giulia Fitzpatrick to briefly talk about “transitioning from executive to board positions”.
